Uber and Instacart expand their health plan partnerships

De­liv­ery gi­ants Uber and In­stacart both an­nounced new part­ner­ships with health plans last week to make healthy liv­ing more ac­ces­si­ble.

Uber is pair­ing its trans­porta­tion and re­tail de­liv­ery ser­vices with the pay­ment plat­form of Unit­ed­Health’s Op­tum so that cus­tomers can pay for el­i­gi­ble ex­pens­es such as rides to the doc­tor, med­i­cine and healthy food de­liv­ery us­ing health spend­ing ac­counts (HSA) and flex­i­ble spend­ing ac­counts (FSA).
