Walgreens’ new CEO Tim Wentworth insists the retail pharmacy chain will do just fine as a standalone business.
Despite his background as the former chief executive of pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts, now owned by Cigna, Wentworth told the audience at Endpoints News’ event at the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference Tuesday that the company is better off without acquiring such a component, unlike rival CVS.
