What got oncology experts talking and tweeting at ASCO? Harris Poll survey finds it was more than just data

Da­ta stud­ies and clin­i­cal re­search are the an­nu­al stars of the Amer­i­can So­ci­ety of Clin­i­cal On­col­o­gy con­fer­ence in Chica­go. So it’s no sur­prise those were the buzzi­est top­ics on so­cial me­dia around the 2023 con­fab, ac­cord­ing to a Har­ris Poll sur­vey for End­points News.

Still, da­ta were not the on­ly chat-wor­thy top­ics on­col­o­gy ex­perts were talk­ing up on so­cial me­dia chan­nels.

While stud­ies and clin­i­cal tri­als did ac­count for 42% of dis­cus­sions, can­cer vac­cines and qual­i­ty of life is­sues each gar­nered 5% of con­ver­sa­tions, and chemother­a­py drug short­ages and health eq­ui­ty each were fea­tured in 4% of the so­cial con­ver­sa­tions, the Har­ris Poll da­ta showed.
