When Does Brain Death Occur? Parkinson’s-Paraquat Links; AI Boosts ARIA Detection

Controversy continues over when physicians should declare brain death, NPR reported.

The EPA released a new draft report affirming the safety of paraquat, saying the evidence tying Parkinson’s disease in humans to paraquat exposure from pesticide use was insufficient.

Meanwhile, the BBC said that U.K.-based paraquat pesticide maker Syngenta may have underreported Parkinson’s in documents used in legal action brought by U.S. farmers.
