Why the CEO at Northwell Health bets it can create the future of healthcare rather than respond to it: #HLTH23

For the past two decades, Michael Dowling has been CEO of New York’s largest health system, Northwell Health. And for years, he’s held a belief that health systems could be the ones to disrupt healthcare

During his tenure, Dowling has shifted Northwell’s revenue outside the four walls of the hospital. The system has 21 hospitals and 890 other sites of care like doctor’s offices and urgent care centers, and 0nly 45% of its revenue is derived from hospital-based business, Dowling said.
